Taskera

Terms of use

Effective date: 16 September 2026

Version: 1.0

1. Who we are and what Taskera is

Taskera is an online marketplace for digital creative work, operated by ITTOR LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17000531, whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("Taskera", "we", "us", "our").

Contact: support@task-era.com

Taskera connects people who need creative work done ("Clients") with people who produce it ("Creators"). A Client completes a structured brief; our matching system then presents a shortlist of Creators suited to that brief, with an explanation for each.

We are an intermediary. The contract for the work is between the Client and the Creator. We are not a party to it, we do not perform the work, and we do not employ Creators.

2. These Terms

These Terms govern your use of the Taskera website and services (the "Platform"). They apply to Clients, to Creators and to visitors.

Creators are additionally bound by the Creator Terms, which prevail over these Terms where they conflict.

These Terms should be read with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Refund, Cancellation and Dispute Policy, each of which forms part of your agreement with us.

By registering an account you accept these Terms. Acceptance is recorded with the date, the version accepted and the address from which it was given.

4. Eligibility and accounts

4.1 You must be at least 18 years old. Age is verified against your identity document and the requirement is applied strictly.

4.2 You may hold one account in each capacity. You must not open an account on behalf of another person without authority to bind them.

4.3 Registration requires a name, an email address and a password. You must confirm your email address using the six-digit code we send. The code is valid for 15 minutes, allows five attempts and can be resent no more than once every 60 seconds.

4.4 At registration you must separately accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Both are required and neither is pre-ticked.

4.5 You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4.6 Information you give us must be accurate and kept current. Changing a verified field requires re-verification.

5. Verification

5.1 Clients

A Client may register, complete Briefs and receive Matches without verification. Verification is required before the first payment. It comprises:

full name in Latin script, as shown on the identity document;

date of birth, subject to the 18+ requirement;

telephone number in international format, confirmed by code;

country, city, address and postcode;

an identity document — passport, national ID card or driving licence — uploaded as JPG, PNG or PDF up to 10 MB.

Where the name given differs from the name on the account, the account name is retained and the discrepancy is recorded for compliance review.

5.2 Creators

A Creator does not obtain access to the Platform until their application has been approved. Verification comprises personal details, confirmation of email and telephone by code, address, and three document files: the front of the document, the reverse, and a photograph of the applicant holding it.

5.3 Decisions

Applications are reviewed by our compliance team, which may approve, decline with a stated reason, or request further documents. Every decision is recorded with the reviewer and the time. Where an application is declined you may reapply.

6. How matching works

6.1 When you submit a Brief, our system applies hard filters (for example category, budget range and availability) and then scores remaining Creators against the attributes in your Brief. The five highest-scoring Creators are presented, with an explanation of why each was matched.

6.2 The main parameters that determine ranking are the degree of match between the attributes in your Brief and the attributes in the Creator's competency profile, together with the Creator's stated rates, turnaround and availability. The relative weight of these parameters is configurable by us and is kept under review.

6.3 No payment influences ranking. Creators cannot pay for placement, and we do not rank by advertising spend.

6.4 You may request a different set up to three times in succession, after which we will suggest adjusting the Brief. Hiding a Creator requires a reason; those reasons are used to improve matching.

6.5 We do not guarantee that any Creator will accept a Request, that a Match will be available for every Brief, or that the work will meet your expectations.

7. Requests, Invoices and payment

7.1 Selecting a Creator sends a Request. The Task moves to Awaiting confirmation and a dialogue opens. The Creator has 24 hours to accept, decline or ask questions; after that the Request is declined automatically.

7.2 Requests disclose the category, a short description, the budget range, the deadline and key parameters of the Task. They do not disclose the Client's personal data.

7.3 On acceptance the Creator issues an Invoice stating the amount, the delivery date, the itemised scope and any comment. An Invoice is valid for 72 hours, after which it expires.

7.4 You may ask for a revised Invoice through the dialogue. A new Invoice automatically cancels any earlier unpaid Invoice.

7.5 Payment is made through the Platform. On payment the Task moves to In progress.

7.6 If you have not completed verification, the payment button is replaced by a prompt to do so. Your Task and the Invoice are preserved.

7.7 Payment limits apply (clause 11). Where a limit would be exceeded, the payment is declined and you are told the amount concerned and when the restriction lifts.

8. Work, Additional Assignments and Acceptance

8.1 While a Task is in progress you and the Creator have access to the dialogue and to file exchange.

8.2 An Additional Assignment is further work within an existing Task. You describe what is required and the date you want it by; the Creator prices it or declines with a reason. Work on an Additional Assignment begins only after it has been separately invoiced and paid.

8.3 The Creator delivers by uploading files with a comment. The Task moves to Delivered and you are notified.

8.4 You then either Accept or Decline. Both require a comment of at least 20 characters and a rating from 1 to 5.

8.5 Accept completes the Task and credits the Creator's Balance, less Commission.

8.6 If you take no action within 5 calendar days of delivery, the work is accepted automatically. We send a reminder 24 hours before that happens.

8.7 Decline moves the Task to Dispute. No amount is credited and the Task is referred to us for a decision under the Refund, Cancellation and Dispute Policy.

9. Fees

9.1 The Platform is free for Clients to use. You pay the amount stated on the Invoice.

9.2 We charge Creators a Commission, currently 15% of the Invoice amount, deducted when the amount is credited to their Balance. Commission may differ by category and is stated in the Creator Terms.

9.3 We may change our fees. Changes apply prospectively and are notified in advance in accordance with clause 15.

10. Ratings and content

10.1 Ratings and comments given at Acceptance are the opinion of the person giving them, not ours. We do not verify them.

10.2 You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, discriminatory or obscene, or that contains another person's personal data without their consent.

10.3 We may remove content that breaches these Terms and will tell you why, unless prevented by law.

10.4 You retain the rights in the content you upload and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store and display it to the extent necessary to operate the Platform.

10.5 Rights in work delivered through the Platform pass as agreed between the Client and the Creator. Where nothing is agreed, the position set out in the Creator Terms applies.

11. Limits

11.1 The following limits apply and are configurable by us:

LimitCurrent value
Client payment volume per calendar dayUSD 1,500
Client payment volume per calendar monthUSD 10,000
Warning threshold on turnover limits80%
Invoice validity72 hours
Time to respond to a Request24 hours
Acceptance window before automatic acceptance5 days

11.2 We may set an individual limit for a particular account, higher or lower than the general limit, with a stated duration and reason. Where both apply, the stricter applies.

11.3 Automated rules flag transactions and withdrawal requests that reach or exceed a limit or display unusual patterns. A flagged item is referred for review by a member of our team; the decision that follows is taken by a person, not automatically.

12. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

(a) take a transaction off the Platform in order to avoid Commission, or solicit another user to do so;

(b) open more than one account in the same capacity, or use another person's payment details or identity;

(c) submit false information or documents during verification;

(d) manipulate the matching system, ratings or the dispute process;

(e) use the Platform for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion or any other unlawful purpose;

(f) scrape, probe, interfere with or attempt to circumvent the security of the Platform; or

(g) use the Platform to order or supply work that is unlawful in the Client's or the Creator's jurisdiction.

Where we reasonably believe you have breached this clause we may suspend or close your account, withhold amounts obtained in breach and refer the matter to the authorities.

13. Suspension and closure

13.1 You may close your account at any time from your settings. Closure does not affect Tasks in progress, amounts owing or obligations already accrued.

13.2 We may suspend or close your account where you breach these Terms, where we are required to do so by law, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful use. We will tell you the reason unless prevented by law.

13.3 Where we suspend or restrict a Creator's account we will give a statement of reasons and the opportunity to respond, in accordance with the Creator Terms.

14. Our liability

14.1 Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

14.2 We are not responsible for the work itself. We do not guarantee the quality, timeliness, originality or fitness for purpose of work delivered by a Creator, and we give no warranty in respect of it.

14.3 Subject to clause 14.1, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss.

14.4 Subject to clause 14.1, our total liability to a Client in connection with a Task is limited to the amount paid by that Client for that Task. Our total liability to a Creator is set out in the Creator Terms.

14.5 Clause 14 does not limit our obligation to account for amounts received on behalf of a Creator or to refund a Client where required under the Refund, Cancellation and Dispute Policy.

14.6 Your statutory rights as a consumer, where you are one, are not affected.

15. Changes

15.1 We may change these Terms. Where a change is material we will give at least 15 days’ notice by email and on the Platform before it takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

15.2 Where a change materially affects Creators, the notice period in the Creator Terms applies.

15.3 Each version is numbered and archived and is available on request.

16. Complaints

16.1 Complaints about a Task should be raised through the dialogue in the first instance. Complaints about the Platform should be sent to support@task-era.com.

16.2 We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and to respond substantively within 10 business days.

16.3 We operate an internal complaint-handling process for Creators, described in the Creator Terms.

17. General

17.1 Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a company acquiring our business, provided your rights are not reduced.

17.2 Severance. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect.

17.3 Entire agreement. These Terms and the documents referred to in clause 2 form the entire agreement between us.

17.4 Languages. The Platform is available in English, Russian and Spanish. In the event of a discrepancy between language versions, the English version prevails, save where mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

18. Governing law

18.1 These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

18.2 If you are a consumer resident in the EU or the UK, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence and the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country.
